The Word of God

Bible Passage of the Month: John 1:1-5 (King James Version)

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

God has given us his promise that his Word will never pass away. When you look at history and see how the Word of God has stood the test of time we literally see him not only preserve his Word but also maintained the accuracy of his Word throughout all HISTORY! Unfortunately, there are those within certain groups that teach that Gods Word did indeed pass away when in fact it did not. Stand upon Gods promises. If God says that his Word would never pass away then it will never pass away. Do not heed towards what MAN says but only heed to the Word of God that came forth to save us from our sins.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

One of the most famous verses to be quoted off the bible is John 1:1-5. This very verse (along with many other passages in the bible) clearly explains the deity of Jesus Christ. We serve a God who preexisted, never created, a living God who is eternal and everlasting. Jesus Christ is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last, the creator of ALL things. John 1 is clear that Jesus is the eternal God with no beginning and no end. It is absolutely critical that we get the identity of Christ correct as the Word of God clearly also says that there are "other" Jesus' that cannot save.
